WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2019, Poor Culture Community Development Corporation (PCCDC) is a community driven non-profit focused on the development of the Morrisania/Crotona sections of The Bronx, and the betterment of the residents. 

WHAT WE DO

We create, cultivate, and connect community. We exercise the many ways in which we are a community that seeks to build God’s world. We create and support programming that inspires maximum participation, promotes personal and spiritual growth, and supports the building of a strong families.

OUR MISSION

The Poor Culture CDC's mission is to empower, enable and support community members in their efforts to revitalize and resurrect the Neighborhood. PCCDC serves as a vehicle through which residents and businesses can work together to solve problems and improve life in their community. PCCDC's primary objective in this unique, troubled, yet beautiful community is to assist in identifying and dismantling the systems that hamper abundant living. Corner by corner, block by block, we are resurrecting new life.

GOALS:

  • Increase the availability of mental and physical health services.

  • Enhance the delivery of social services to the entire community.

  • Foster economic revitalization.

  • Enhance educational and developmental opportunities for youth.

  • Build community capacity through civic engagement.

  • Create access to arts programming
